New Diet
Yesterday I was buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for Athena the
>> wonder dog at Wal-Mart and was about to check out.
>> A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. On impulse, I told her that no, I
>> didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again.
>> Although I probably shouldn't, because I'd ended up in the hospital last
>> time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care
>> ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.
>> I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that
>> it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat
>> one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally
>> complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that
>> practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story.)
>> Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food
>> poisoned me. I told her no; I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish
>> Setter's ass and a car hit us both.
>> I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was
>> laughing so hard!
>> WAL-MART WON'T let me shop there anymore.

One Flaw In Women
One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don 't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They 'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

THE FINEST STATEMENT PRINTED TODAY A mother asked President Bush "Why did my son have to die in Iraq ?" Another mother asked President Kennedy, "Why did my son have to die in Viet Nam ?" Another mother asked President Truman, "Why did my son have to die in Korea ? Another mother asked President F.D. Roosevelt, "Why did my son have to die at Iwo Jima ?" Another mother asked President W. Wilson, "Why did my son have to die on the battlefield of France ?" Yet another mother asked President Lincoln, "Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg ?" And yet another mother asked President George Washington, "Why did my son have to die near Valley Forge ?" Then long, long ago, a mother asked... "Heavenly Father, why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem ?" The answers to all these are similar -- "So that others may have life and dwell in peace, happiness and freedom." I thought the magnitude and the simplicity were awesome. IF YOU DON'T STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS, PLEASE, FEEL FREE...TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM !!!
