The Pig

This is an email I got from Graydon and this is a true story. He really did this to a girl at work!!
The Bosses son, Ryan, wanted a whole pig to roast. So I got it in today and got in trouble with it!
It was complete with, head,(eyes,ears,nose mouth, few teeth!)feet, tail, the only thing missing was the insides and the squeal!! I put it in the cooler, and I was showing my cutter(Betsey) and wrapper(Tina) this pig.So the girls were talking about scaring the deli girls with it and was trying to come up with an idea! Well I already had one! I've been through this a few times before with a deer and a bear!! So I said to get me two five gallon buckets and I'll fix it up! I put the buckets in a row and took the pig and draped it down over the buckets, and it looked like it was standing up. This looked sooooooooo real!
Just standing there!! they were laughing so hard! When we came out of the cooler, I stuck my head in the Deli and said to the girls " When you go in the cooler, don't let the pet out"!!
So wouldn't you know, the Deli manager(Sheri) goes in, and sees this Pig, and it scares her so bad she just screams! I started laughing so hard! Betsey looks through the door between the deli and meat room and Sheri is crying!!Her makeup was all runny So Betsey tells me
Sheri is crying , so I figure I had better tell the boss what happened, before she did. So i go to the office and confess to what happened, and the boss said he thought he heard a scream, but didn't pay much attention. So now he knows!! He tried not to laugh and says he would go and talk to Sheri, because I felt bad to make her cry, and didn't know what to do at the time, if anything!! I didn't know she loved animals, and even cries if she hits an animal with her car.So I take the pig down and put it in the produce cooler! I saw Sheri a little later and told her I was sorry and she said she didn't have this farm culture! We laughed about this all day

Driftwood

Jimmy and I were down by the river fishing Sunday and we found this piece of driftwood.Jimmy put some varnish on it but I think it is a very unique piece!! Give my you comments on what you think it looks like. Click on picture to enlarge it. It should be interesting. Jimmy caught 2 bass but I think he caught the same one twice because he threw the first one back and then when he casted out again got another one but didn't catch anything after that so I think maybe that fish got smart and headed down stream. Al stopped by today for a few hours and as always had interesting conversation with him.

My Weekend

Jimmy and I had a good weekend. On Sat we went over and did a little work on the new "condo" and Mom fixed lunch. Had ham, baked potato and cream corn. Was very good. Enjoyed eating at home again!! On Sunday there was a yard sale up the road from us and she had a sewing place and had a huge amount of fabric.So I got some to make Mom new curtains, material was $1.00 a yard for 60" wide and I got 13 yards of curtain material for me for $10, 60" wide. Well. I got mine made today and got them hung. Here is a couple of pictures. We also got some fake fur like material to make cushion covers for the "condo". She let us have the whole bolt about 6 yards for $5. Can't beat that anywhere.So now I have a lot of sewing to do. Maybe someday I will get it all done. We also were trying to decide what to do about the holes that we had in the canvas on the camper and we tried a lot of different things to clean the mildew,so today we finally made the decision to get all new canvas so we took the old one off so now we have to get new with the "free government money"!! Had a surprise visitor sat night. Chucky and Dorothy stopped by on their way home from Walton. Was surprised to see them. They were here about 3 hours. Was after 10 when they left. I got Chucky set up to blog!
Also the family reunion will be July 12th at Williams.So reserve that day!
