Email I got from Brenda!!

Hey Joan ,Tom read the email you sent about the quarters but before he read the whole thing he went running across the street to tell our friends because they are collecting the quarters. I had to run across the street to tell him that it was a joke. We are still laughing.

Missouri Quarters.

Hang on to any of the new Missouri Quarters. If you
have them, they
may
be worth much more than 25 cents

The US Mint announced today that it is recalling all
of the Missouri
quarters that are part of its program featuring
quarters from each
state.
This action is being taken after numerous reports that
the new quarters
will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending
machines, pay
phones or any other coin operated devices. The
problem lies in the
unique design of the Missouri quarter, which was
designed by a team of
Ozark specialists.

Apparently, the duct tape holding the two dimes and
the nickel together
keeps jamming up the machines.

William

I saw William today and got an update on him. I don't know if you all know or not but he had somewhat of a setback. He was suppose to put a hot pack on his hand and was told to heat it in microwave for so many minutes and he did and put it on hid hand but was too hot and since he had no feeling in his hand and he left it on for the amount of time it was to be and blistered his fingers. I actually saw it today and hand in swollen up and big water blisters on tips of a couple of fingers. Dr told him to do nothing and let them pop and heal on its own. They don't want to risk infection.l He did state that he has has some slight tingling in his hand the last few days, so maybe the nerve graph if healing. He has good days and then bad days but he has a very positive attitude. He has to have more surgery in the future to do tendons. We need to keep him and his family in our prayers.

My Dad

I find an old photograph
and see your smile.
As I feel your presence anew,
I am filled with warmth
and my heart remembers love.

I remember who you used to be
the laughter we shared
and wonder what you have become.
Where are you now,
Where did you go,
When the body is left behind
and the spirit is released to fly?

Perhaps you are the morning bird
singing joyfully at sunrise,
or the butterfly that dances
so carelessly on the breeze
or the rainbow of colors
that brightens a stormy sky
or the fingers of afternoon mist
delicately reaching over the mountains
or the final few rays of the setting sun
lighting up the skies
edging the clouds with a magical glow.

I miss your being
but I feel your presence,
In whatever form you choose to take,
however you now choose to be.

Your spirit has become for me
a guardian angel on high
guiding, advising, and watching over me.

I remember you.
You are with me
and I am not afraid.

I want to dedicate this poem to my Dad. I still miss him so much. It's hard to believe that its been 4 years since he left us. I Love You, Dad

Joan

Calling Cards for Brian

I think it would be a good idea to purchase calling cards for Brian. I checked out the link for the calling cards the best one is 10 AT&T cards of 550 minutes each for $275.00. Each card you purchase will be $27.00 each This is a better deal than purchasing one at a time. If anyone would like to help with this project, let me know. I can then order them and have them sent directly to him. Would like to have them by June 18th if possible. I know that Brian and Kim will appreciate our support. THANK YOU ALL

Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

A blond contestant on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" had
>reached
> the final plateau. If she answered the next question
> correctly, she would
> win $1,000,000. If she answered incorrectly, she would
>pocket
> only the
> $25,000 milestone money.
>
> And as she suspected it would be, the million-dollar
>question
> was no
> pushover. It was, "Which of the following species of birds
> does not
> build its own nest, but instead lays its eggs in the nests
>of
> other
> birds? Is it:
> A) the condor
> B) the buzzard
> C) the cuckoo
> D) the vulture
>
> The woman was on the spot. She did not know the answer. And
> she was
> doubly on the spot because she had used up her 50/50
>Lifeline
> and her
> Audience Poll Lifeline. All that remained was her
>Phone-a-Friend
> Lifeline. The woman hoped she would not have to use it
>because ...
> her friend was, well--blonde. She had no alternative. She
> called her
> friend and gave her the question and the four choices. The
>blonde
> responded unhesitatingly: "That's easy. The answer is C:
>the
> cuckoo."
>
> The contestant had to make a decision and make it fast. She
> considered
> employing a reverse strategy and giving Merideth any answer
>except
> the one that her friend had given her. And considering that
> her friend
> was a blonde, that would seem to be the logical thing to
>do.
> But her
> friend had responded with such confidence, such certitude,
> that the
> contestant could not help but be persuaded.
>
> "I need an answer," said Merideth. Crossing her fingers,
> thecontestant
> said, "C: The cuckoo."
>
> "Is that your final answer?"
>
> "Yes, that is my final answer."
>
> Two minutes later, Merideth said, "That answer is ...
>Absolutely
> correct! You are now a millionaire!
>
> Three days later, the contestant hosted a party for her
>family and
> friends, including the blonde who had helped her win the
> million dollars.
>
> "Jeni, I just do not know how to thank you," said the
> contestant."How
> did you happen to know the right answer?"
>
> "Oh, come on," said the blonde... "Everybody knows that
> cuckoos don't
> build nests. They live in clocks." *

Happy Birthday to Jalina Raquel Wayman. Her birthday is on the 5th . Hope you have a Very Happy Sweet 16th Birthday. Aunt Joan

Talked to William and he had one surgery done on his hand on Monday. All went well but he is very sore. They took a nerve bundle from his leg just above the ankle and implanted it into his hand. WOW. He did come home Monday night and his have and foot is very sore. Drs told him that the cut was worse than they had thought. They put the rods in his hand and 3 fingers and has to go back in 3 months to have them removed. I believe he said he has to go back Fri to get the stitches out. Lets continue to keep him , Barb and family in our prayers.
